The day started at O’Hare Airport and roughly 10 hours later, we were
finally at our destination - Leuven, Belgium. After relaxing a bit in
our hotel, we had the opportunity to tour the city of Leuven with our
guide, Piet Sercu, a professor of economics at the University. The city
of Leuven has great stories behind it and the architecture is beautiful
and elaborate. After our first Belgian dinner, we had free time to roam
the city and experience the night life. However, after a long day of
traveling with little sleep and an early morning ahead, we were all
eager to get some shut eye and attempt to avoid being jet lagged. What
a great first day!
